I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience of working in the NHS. I now work in independent practice. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I have specialised in working with adults with psychological problems, with a specialist interest in offering evidence based therapy to individuals experiencing low mood, anxiety (including OCD and phobias) , psychosis, disordered eating, relationship problems and to those with a history of trauma. I would describe myself as an integrative therapist, drawing on behavioural, cognitive-behavioural (including mindfulness and schema based approaches), systemic and psychodynamic approaches to tailor each intervention to the needs of the individual.
I have expertise in undertaking cognitive, personality and risk assessments, and have worked as an expert witness presenting both written and oral evidence in criminal court proceedings.
I have considerable experience in offering consultation, teaching, training and supervision to organisations and professionals from healthcare and the criminal justice system.
I have supervised Assistant, Trainee and qualified Psychologists throughout my career.
Please e-mail or telephone me if you would like an initial telephone consultation to see if face to face meeting would be beneficial. I am registered with all major healthcare insurance providers.

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has over 10 years experience of working in the NHS as well as a number of third sector organisations across London and Essex. Over that time, particularly while studying to gain my qualifications of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, (DClinPsych) at the University of East London, I have I have worked within hospital and community settings with clients of all ages and abilities, and their families. Since 2010 I have focussed on working therapeutically with adults of all ages and their families, experiencing a range of psychological and mental health difficulties, and further I have gained an extensive experience in the provision of psychological services to individuals diagnosed with dementia, their families and carers. I have also been offering supervision, consultation and leadership to services across various settings. I regularly contribute to teaching, training, recruitment and course design on Clinical Psychology doctoral training courses, including the University of East London (UEL) and University of Essex.
I value the experience of working with people of all ages, different cultures and varying difficulties. The opportunity of helping clients to understand the nature of their difficulties and, where this is appropriate, work towards carefully chosen goals in therapy is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. In therapeutic work, I draw on number of psychological approaches, taking into account my clients’ individual circumstances, needs and preferences as well as cutting-edge insights from research. The therapeutic work I offer is holistic, and in order to take advantage of my most recent training it is most frequently inspired by Systemic approaches to therapy, including Narrative and Solution Focused therapies, which I supplement with a range of techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based approaches.
